Thanksgiving

God always provides, even when it doesn’t feel like He is near.  As a reminder of his loving-kindness and abounding grace, the following is a list of remarkable things happening in and around my life which actuate me to praise and thanksgiving.  Here they are as the list continues to grow…

  • 3/31/13 – Very moving illustration of redemption, A Story of Life & Death, at MCC Easter services this weekend.
  • 3/27/13 – Met a young man after school, a former student at MCS who screwed his life up and returned to share how he is now turning it all around.  In awe of his testimony that shows how God is ever faithful and how He is using our ministry to transform lives.
  • 3/15/13 – What a week as I have been surprised by joy!  HONORED that so many wonderful people have been introduced into my life, HUMBLED by all the kind words, ENCOURAGED to see how far I have come in the past three years, AMAZED by the epic story that is being written.  (Psalm 118:23-24)
  • 3/11/13 – Thankfully another successful observation.
  • 2/13/13 – Thankful for God’s perfect balance of justice and mercy, for never giving up on me, and for using events in the last week to revive my relationship with Him.  Today He gave me such incredible clarity and peace!
  • 12/30/12 – Grateful for time with extended family in North Carolina over the holidays.
  • 12/13/12 – 8th grade class was exceptionally well behaved at the Holocaust museum.  Good discussions to follow.
  • 12/12/12 – Completed the 6-week 33 Series curriculum with my small group.  Provided opportunities for us to become stronger and more mature men.  Personally, this concluded a season of leadership; I disbanded the group but this humbling decision positions me for the next good work.
  • 11/12/12 – Fell in love with Costa Rica and returned home safely from this once-in-a-lifetime experience with Discovery Student Adventures.  They only got me on the plane kicking and screaming…
